It’s not often that modern singers do raw and acapella performances without too much production in a small space. Most of the people that do that kind of show are still emerging onto the music landscape. But NPR has this very special series they do called the Tiny Desk concert. How the series started is that they would take over someone’s desk at NPR and invite a performer to do a short concert. They eventually moved to a library and made a bit more space but the rules are still the same: as little production as possible and as much simplicity as possible. It gets especially interesting when they invited T-Pain to do a concert and who get to hear his real voice without effect. They even got Adele just before she got incredibly famous to do a concert.
