Dear Readers,

As I begin this farewell address to you, I’m mindful of George Washington’s farewell address in 1798 upon completing his second term in office as America’s first president. He wanted to say something about how the new republic should succeed and how he saw the future of the new country. It was hopeful and measured.

Today, I’m announcing the closure of Rouges Magazine. For those who follow us on social media, this has been out for awhile but we’ve been posting the last of our content from contributors over the past 3 weeks and as of December 31, 2020, Rouges Magazine will cease publication permanently. It has been a great 2 years serving you all. Digital media is a fast-moving and changing environment. Some can keep up and others simply cannot. Sadly, this time we’re one of the ones that could not quite keep up. We went into 2020 thinking that our star was beginning to rise. We had rising traffic numbers and involvement from great readers. Thanks to Covid-19, all that progress was erased overnight and unfortunately, it’s just no longer tenable to continue.

I’d like to thank our contributors, our readers, and everyone who shared and liked what we did and although we will not be bringing you interesting things from around the internet we hope you continue to Find Interesting Things.

I will continue to write on my personal blog, The Cameron Journal and I would invite Rouges readers to join me there and enjoy my musings, stories, and much more.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for 2 wonderful years. This is Rouges Magazine signing off.
