This week in news that we find interesting and gives our readers a different view of the world than they had before, we found this interesting video about how one country is shifting its language by making a major change: its alphabet. As a former Soviet republic, Russian was the lingua franca during the USSR years and before that their language was in arabic script but now, thanks to the break up of the Soviet union and ethnic tensions, the central asian republic is making a big change to open itself to the West and modernize: adopting the latin alphabet that European languages use.
