Madonna has begun a new era this year with the launch of her album Madame X. She introduced this new area in award shows early this year, including a great hologram of herself. This era has been different. The visuals are evocative of her turn as Evita from the 90s. She has this 1930s vibe that is very strong and the music is socially aware. It is not pop, it is something quite different.

In this song she’s singing along with carribbean villagers and uses the video to bring light to the african diaspora in the region. It’s interesting, historical, and somehow beautiful. This is a different era for Madonna.
