There’s a thing in the gay community about masculine guys vs. feminine guys. It is one of the longest but most insipid and misogynistic tropes within the community. As many know, gay men come in many flavors ranging from the very effeminate to the “straight-acting” or more traditionally masculine guys. Often, there are people on apps who will post that they are “masc” and looking for the same. Any guy deemed too effeminate is discounted right away for anything because he’s just not the right fit regardless of his looks or actual personality. Michael Henry takes on this trend in the community with hilarious aplomb and should get every gay man thinking about what they are looking for in another guy.
